Trend Report A/W14 - Fringes

River Island Velvet Bolero // Uterque Bag // Uterque Cape // Zara Kimono
As always there are several key items and trends that can be find in each season. One of my favourites are the fringes. Gorgeous, playful stripes of fabric that flows with the wind and creates shapes while walking. The key items I would definitely say would be the midi skirts, in a wrap-around model with fringes flowing alongside the body or the jacket. If you don't feel that the fringed garments are something for you, then I would definitely advice you to invest in a fringed clutch or shoulder bag. The bag is a fun attribute that will complete the look.

When it comes to the fringe jacket I prefer a shorter model as it's much easier to match with other garments. It can give a rock-ish touch when matched with a pair of slim-fit trousers and a pair of biker boots.....or....
Zara Kimono // French Connection Shoulder bag // Tory Burch Top // Zara Dress

.. for a more bohemian look together with a maxi-dress and boots. The final touch a great hat in burgundy or black.

These are my runway favourites. Just Cavalli nailed it with this gorgeous gold jacket and oversize eyelet details and for a more sophisticated look the black beauty from Joseph with a touch of 70's.
